We encourage your child to extra curricular online tasks via Purple Mash and MyMaths. Each pupil has a user name and password. If they cannot gain access please contact their form teacher who will be happy to provide a password.
Homework plays an important role in English throughout both Primary and Secondary phases of education at Morecambe Road School. All pupils take reading books home on weekends to read and discuss their books with parents/carers. Workshops have been offered to parents to help encourage reading and a love of literature at home. Across the four key stages spelling lists are taken home for the pupils to learn on a weekly basis. Internet websites such as Purple Mash, BBC Bitesize and the dyslexia intervention programme IDL are also used to assist learning in and out of school.
