We promote access to extra curricular learning via Purple Mash. an engaging learning area with links to various areas of the curriculum. Each pupil has a user name and password. If they cannot gain access please contact their form teacher who will be happy to provide a password.

Homework plays an important role in learning throughout both Primary and Secondary Phases of education at Morecambe Road School. All pupils take reading books home weekly, an opportunity to read and discuss their books with parents/carers.
Workshops have been offered to parents to help encourage reading and a love of literature at home along with reading rewards and incentives for the pupils.
Across Key Stages 2-4, spelling lists are taken home for the pupils to learn with additional consolidation activities linked to current topics. Websites such as BBC Bitesize and the dyslexia intervention programme IDL are also used to assist learning in and out of school.
